Perform light vehicle maintenance as part of a team in our large, modern facility.
Training, Tools, and Technology are all provided.
Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil
Replace oil and air filters
Inspect vehicle fluid levels; replace or replenish as necessary
Check tire pressure and add air if needed
Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
Keep customers' cars clean and notify service advisor of any condition changes
Maintain a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance
Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty, and genuine concern for customers
Work within customer estimates
Inspect every repair order and vehicle for proper job completion
Clean the windshield and vacuum every vehicle
Advise Manager of any needed repairs or services
Notify Service Manager of any situation that jeopardizes safety or dealership integrity
Perform work as outlined on repair orders efficiently and accurately
Sell lubrication, safety inspection, and related services
Keep shop area neat and clean
Maintain and account for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., hazardous waste, OSHA)
Operate all tools and equipment safely
Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by Service Manager
This position has no supervisory responsibilities

No prior experience or training required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively with customers or employees
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10s and 100s
Ability to perform basic operations using U.S. money, weight, volume, and distance
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional or no variables
Valid Driver’s License required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
Stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Talk or hear; and occasionally climb or balance
Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, occasionally more than 100 lbs
Have vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to:
Moving mechanical parts
High places, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and vibration
